Established in June of 1999, Apex Distribution Inc. operates as a distributor of oilfield production and drilling equipment products and services to oil and gas producers, drilling contractors and service companies conducting business throughout Western Canada.

The company was formed to provide the Canadian oil and gas industry with an alternative supply source that is clearly focused on delivering enhanced results and value for all stakeholders. The company has established 28 locations and will continue to develop distribution locations that are strategically situated throughout the Western Canadian sedimentary basin.

Apex is a technically diverse and service-oriented team that has proven abilities to provide customers with superior service and technical capabilities. People are our most valued asset and are recognized and encouraged for their innovation, contribution and accountability. It is this commitment that set's Apex Distribution apart from the competition.

Apex Distribution Inc. is an independent, employee owned and operated oilfield Supply Company. The company is equity financed and has sufficient funding and resources in place to continue its aggressive growth and development plans.

We realize the importance of excelling in business is closely linked to an organizations ability to define its competencies and to become exceptional in those areas. Our organization has identified five core competencies that we must excel at in order to provide our customers with results that positively impact their financial performance.
  • Product Knowledge - is a key component in our ability to provide value for our stakeholders. Our company industry experience currently averages in excess of 18 years. These years of experience allow us to bring forward tremendous product knowledge in all facets of Oilfield Production and Drilling operations that can be utilized to increase customer profitability through reduced operating and capital expenditures.
     
  • Procurement- plays a significant role in our strategy to assist our customers in their effort to reduce operating costs and effectively manage their purchasing process. The ability to provide products and services at market competitive prices is a critical component of a distribution service group. We have and will continue to develop supply agreements with manufacturers that effectively manage all elements of their total cost through an effective combination of quality, price and service.
     
  • Logistics- plays a key role in our ability to manage the physical movement of products to ensure that we are meeting our customer's requirements, optimizing our investment in inventories and minimizing the associated freight costs. Apex Distribution has established cross docking facilities to focus on this critical component of our business.
     
  • Information Systems- utilization of information systems and technology is the foundation upon which we intend to grow our organization. Our information system provides us with the necessary tools to link our distribution/logistics network and to centralize the accounting, purchasing, inventory and administrative functions of the organization.
     
  • Inventory Management- all successful distribution companies must be able to manage their investment in inventory effectively in order to produce optimum financial results and meet the expectations of their customers. Customers have defined inventory management as a non-core activity and are looking at outsourcing this function. Apex Distribution recognizes the opportunity this presents to our organization and is committed to the development of a fully integrated inventory management system that will assist our customers in this regard.
